Wrapped up in vintage.

A couple of weekends back, I had some time to kill and stumbled  across this Vintage Market in Brick Lane. Check it out here. I was in there for less than 3 minutes before this coat of life jumped out at me! It was literally love at first site.  I have loved tweed like forever  so that was always going to be a plus. On top of that it has some seriously bold shoulder action going on which is a big look for this season.

The leather strips on the shoulders and pockets are literally everything! Listen when I flipped the price tag and saw £25, I ran to that cash point so quick! ( the vendor didn’t take card).

I’ve always known you can get some real gems buying vintage but the snobby part of me never really wanted to go down the avenue of wearing something pre-owned. I can safely say I am fully converted and can’t wait to see what else I can find. I have already bought a few new coats for this season on the high street but I love stepping out in this one knowing that I won’t see anyone else in it!

For this look,I kept it simple in this cosy rust coloured knit from Topshop Tall , grey mom jeans from Asos Tall and my ankle boots, also from Asos( old). I also have my trusty everyday bag from Matt and Natt I got mine on sale from Asos so I cant find it but here is a similar one

Whether it’s stepping out in casual gear or dressing up, this coat will be making a regular appearance.

Tall girl problem: Now obviously the sleeves are far from full length on me, however I would like to presume that they are cropped and would in fact come up short on a lady with regular length limbs! Neither me or my husband were entirely sure but either way I’m gonna make it work!

As always thanks for reading

Love three blog and definitely love the look. Welcome to the world of vintage. My friend Ola converted me a few years ago… you can get some nice pieces on Goldborne Rd!
